Just Eat Real Food

BREAKFAST:

Started my day with a couple drumsticks I marinated and baked, a farm fresh egg, mashed sweet potatoes, and spinach.

LUNCH:

Had one of my favorite things: a BIG ASS SALAD. Spinach, avocado, cherry tomatoes, chicken thighs meat, and some crushed hazelnuts. I got these great organic hazelnuts from Holmquist Hazelnut Orchards at the West Seattle Farmer’s Market. So good!

DINNER: 

I was starving and cooked up some bacon and steamed broccoli and warmed up some baked chicken drumsticks and more mashed sweet potatoes.

As a side note, I saw this article yesterday that I wanted to pass along. It’s from a former Jenny Craig consultant apologizing for advising clients to slash calories and eat empty low-calorie foods. I know this is what a lot of people, especially women, are conditioned to believe if they want to lose weight. I bought into it for years, but have finally realized the importance of just eating real food.
